Put Life into Algebra
Many algebra students ask, "Why do I need to know this?" Answer their questions with a meaningful approach to teaching the essential concepts and skills of algebra. Motivate and engage students by putting life into algebra. Use real-life situations to introduce students to functions, equations, slope, intercepts, systems of equations, integer operations and other standards-based algebra skills. The workshop is appropriate for teachers in grades 6-11 and easily adaptable for younger students.
